PSALM 23
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
It has been a year since I wrote something in my journal: a supposedly love letter kept in a journal because I was unsure, young and discrete; a banner of fears that reminds me I’m strong that I endured it and those notes-copied-to-give-giggles are my favorite; how about the clumsiness I documented… HAHAHA I missed this. And especially those good things people say that makes my heart warm… I love it all! ^^ All the praises to the Lover of my soul! :)
Now, I’m blogging. Say, just like when I started writing my journal, I wrote “…because I’m in love.” Today I can write the same - I am in love of life and my life has a purpose that is why I live and shall overcome whatever life brings me. The difference is that I’m writing in the web. Hello web! :))
Each morning I wake to find You near
You lift me above my fears and set my feet on solid ground
All of my days belong to You
And I breathe in Your breath of life that fills my heart
You are my all consuming fire
I stand here before You in wide opened wonder
Amazed at the glory of You
The power of heaven revealing Your purpose in me
As I’m reaching for You
I can’t believe the way Your love has got a hold on me
Each morning I wake to find You near
You lift me above my fears and set my feet on solid ground
All of my days belong to You
And I breathe in Your breath of life that fills my heart
You are my all consuming fire
And I stand here before You in wide opened wonder
Amazed at the glory of You
The power of heaven revealing Your purpose in me
As I’m reaching for You
And I stand here before You in wide opened wonder
Amazed at the glory of You
The power of heaven revealing Your purpose in me
As I’m reaching for You
And I stand here before You in wide opened wonder
Amazed at the glory of You
The power of heaven revealing Your purpose in me
As I’m reaching for You
And I stand here before You in wide opened wonder
Amazed at the glory of You
The power of heaven revealing Your purpose in me
As I’m reaching for You
Reaching for You
Reaching for You
Reaching for You
And I stand here before You in wide opened wonder
Amazed at the glory of You
The power of heaven revealing Your purpose in me
As I’m reaching for You
10 Using a dull ax requires great strength, so sharpen the blade. That’s the value of wisdom; it helps you succeed.
Trying to do anything without the necessary skills or tools is like chopping wood with a dull ax. If your tool is dull, you should sharpen it to do a better job. Similarly, if you lack skills, you should sharpen them through training and practice. In each situation, sharpening the ax means recognizing where a problem exists, acquiring or honing the skills (or tools) to do the job better, and then going out and doing it. Find the areas of your life where your “ax” is dull, and sharpen your skills so you can be more effective in God’s work.
